Hey Girls,

I hope you had a restful weekend! I'm setting my intentions for May, and one of my goals is to be more intentional with my time and my pursuits. Many of us noticed during the pandemic that our time is precious and not always a given. This is how I felt after losing my grandmother in 2020. We think we have all the time in the world to cherish the ones we love or pursue our goals, and we really don't! This month, which happens to be Mental Health Awareness Month, ask yourself - how am I honoring my time? Am I promoting my mental health?

Speaking of cherishing moments and intentionality, I'm thrilled to see all the RSVPs for our daytreat where we'll be showing love to our bodies and minds! We only have 4 tickets remaining. I'll email those of you who signed up with the itinerary, so stay tuned! See below for more things to inspire and pique your interest!

Hugs,
your flower girl V

Flower Girls Community

Say hello to Ashima Bhayana! Ashima is an awesome and giving young woman! Ashima works in HR and is extremely passionate about mental health. She volunteers for NAMI Chicago by sharing her personal journey with mental health in an effort to help eradicate stigma and normalize the conversation. She will join us during our daytreat to share her long journey of figuring out how to better care for her own mental health. Here's what she had to say about our community: "I am grateful for the Flower Girls Meet community because I found this community at a time when I was feeling isolated and lonely because of the pandemic. I remember stumbling upon FGM's IG and thinking I had found a special space for women to connect and bring their whole selves. Through this community, I have been connected to people and organizations I never knew existed! Every time I attend an FGM event, I feel leaving inspired and energized by the amazing women around me." We love to hear this! Thanks for being here, Ashima.
