PRAY MAY KICKOFF

Pray May has become one of the big highlights of our year as a church family and that was evident Wednesday night at our Pray May Kick-off. It's always a special time when our entire church gets together for an All-RADIUS event, but coming together to pray draws us near to God and to each other as we seek to align our hearts with His.

It takes a great team to pull something like that together so thank you - parking teams, AV / Media, fabulous grillers and food teams, worship and program, kidcare, sanitation services :-), and ALL the ordering and prep the weeks leading up! Thank you all for jumping in and helping where needed!

We've simplified our normal debrief form for Pray May Kick-off. If you played a part or just attended, please take 5 minutes to let us know your thoughts. This will help us as we plan for next year! Feel free to send it to anyone who helped.

There is so much still left of Pray May! Be sure to promote your campus details for each night in your email and on social. Make clear the plans for your campus since all of the campus plans differ a bit. Excited to hear your stories as we continue to focus on prayer!

STUDENT TEAM LEARNS ABOUT HOW FAMILY AND CHURCH WORKS TOGETHER TO MAKE DISCIPLES

Last week, April 26-28, six staff from across RADIUS attended the Orange Conference in Atlanta, GA.  The Orange Conference is hosted by The ReThink Group, whose mission is to align leaders and parents to create community around the timeless message of the Gospel, and mobilize the next generation to love God and serve others.

The RADIUS team, Trey Shealy, Luke Holder, Sean Coffey, Shaun Forrester, Stevie Horan, and Brent Squires, made the trip in order to learn more about how the church and family can come together to reach and disciple middle and high school students.  The conference consisted of daily keynote speakers and worship in the main sessions, with breakout sessions in between.  Several of the workshops attended were: The Spiritual Life of Students, Equipping Volunteers, and Helping Students Overcome Anxiety.  

The conference was informative, presented new perspectives on multiple issues students and families are facing, as well as provided a wonderful team-building experience.

• Super Important: Please post your Pray May campus plans and all the details in your emails, facebook groups! Let's make it as easy as possible to find. Don't just post the graphic and tell them to go to the website - post the actual plans along with dinner and childcare plans. Because every campus is different - make sure you're super clear.

• Bumper - Be on the lookout for the bumper / announcement vid for this week from Tim. It's Parent Equip promo since this is typically Baby Dedication week around RADIUS. 
• Hand Out - We'll have family conversation starters that can be given to families when they pick up their kids. Once side promotes Parent Equip and the other side lists ACTS as a prayer guide in kid friendly language and a few dinnertime conversation starters. These can be picked up Tuesday.
• PARENT EQUIP - The parenting journey can feel so lonely at times, but we want you to know…WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! As we seek to make disciples of the next generation, we want to lock arms through ongoing conversations and resources to equip you to parent with biblical wisdom.
