GGD Newsletter For May 1, 2023

We are now officially homeowners! This is both a huge accomplishment and somewhat of a setback. As our regular readers know, renting is better than buying (financially speaking). So, while we’ve upgraded our lifestyle, we’ve also simultaneously slowed our progress toward achieving our financial goals. That being said, we know there are many things in life that are impossible to quantify. Not all things can be refined down to a row or column in a spreadsheet. The joy our growing family will get from living in our new home is one example!

Monthly Financial Update (Full Breakdown):
This month the value of our investment portfolio dropped by -2.01%. This puts us at 121.8% of our retirement number. If you’re interested in seeing where all of those “losses” went check out the new Home Equity category of the Monthly Financial Update!
