Dear <<First Name>>

SAFCEI will be hosting the first workshop for our second cohort of faith leaders in Malawi: Faith Leader Environmental Advocacy Training (FLEAT) Malawi II in Lilongwe from 6 to 8 June 2023 and is inviting applications now.

We are seeking applications from people of faith that live in Malawi, particularly those in leadership in their faith institutions or who play an active leadership role in their community.

SAFCEI will bring together a new group of faith leaders from across Malawi to create an opportunity for faith-led eco-justice. Issues of water, land, biodiversity, gender, food, energy and climate justice will be on the agenda. Ethical actions for your faith community will be part of the workshop.

If you are passionate about environmental justice, have not previously attended FLEAT in Malawi and would like to learn more about eco-justice and build your network, please apply here. You will be joining our exisiting network of faith leaders across Malawi and the region who care about the environment and want to take action collectively.

Please note that this training will be held in-person from 08:30 to 17:00 over three days. Accommodation and meals will be provided to selected participants.

To apply, send your application with supporting documents to zainab@safcei.org.za by 19 May 2023.

Please share this opportunity widely in Malawi. SAFCEI is seeking a diverse group of Malawian faith leaders with 50% women participants, and a good representation of youth.

Yours sincerely,
FLEAT Coordinator
Zainab Adams
