🍁 VHL NL, NB, ON 1986 Dr. Jane Green
Please note: I don't have an academic biomedical background in any medical area. Many VHLers from Newfoundland have told me that they've received help from VHL geneticist Dr. Jane Green, Memorial University. As a patient and volunteer/advocate, I also get the impression that Dr. Green was very important to the field of VHL in internationally!
Article re VHL families in NL, 1986:
"There was a large family with VHL who “originated in Newfoundland but ha[d] some members who live in New Brunswick and Ontario. A collaborative investigation was begun in 1982 to document the number of affected members and the extent of their disease and to improve management of the disease…”

There are many entries related to Dr. Green and other genetic family diseases, but many are only abstracts/summaries. For example:
“Dr. Green had been compiling pedigrees on families in which there was a hereditary loss of sight since the 70’s… In 1978, together with an ophthalmologist - “set up a weekly ocular genetics clinic at Health Sciences Centre, or the General Hospital as it was called then…” - Spotlight on Retinitis Pigmentosa, 2018
