Dear brothers and sisters,

My family celebrated my Dad and my Uncle Tom’s 70th birthday over the weekend—yes, my Dad is an identical twin—and I was tasked with sharing a few words. As I thought about my Dad and uncle (both believers, praise the Lord), two words came to mind: manhood and faith. Over the course of our lives, they have given my family and I a positive example of sacrificial manhood and trusting faith. They have lived well so far—not perfect, but faithful, and we will remember them for it.

When we visit a cemetery, there are two numbers on a gravestone: a birth date and a death date, and then there’s that little dash in between those numbers. Have you ever thought about that dash? That little mark says a lot—that’s your life. See, every day, you have a choice to make: will you live for Christ? By God’s grace, days of faithfulness turn into years of faithfulness, which makes for a life of faithfulness.

How will you be remembered? More importantly, how will you spend your life? I pray that you will live full tilt for the glory of God, and that, when you stand before the Lord, you will hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master” (Matthew 25:21).

Pursue Christ and His kingdom this week!

Thank you for your help at Fellowship Lunch. We had plenty of food to share at this past Sunday’s Fellowship Lunch. Thank you for willingness to make, buy, and bring food. It’s always a joy to share our favourite foods, and as I have learned over the past year and a half, our church can cook! Praise the Lord for that gift!

Join Foundations Classes. Foundations classes are taking place this Wednesday evening at 7PM. It’s been a joy to open the Word together over the last few months. Come join us, we’d love to have you.

Participate in the Pregnancy Care Centre First Response Relay 2023. The PCC First Response relay is taking place next Saturday, May 13. You can support the invaluable work of PCC by donating, attending, and/or supporting our church relay team. And of course, you can always pray! Details are below.

Pray for Pastor Paul! Pastor Paul is away at a pastor's retreat this week. Pray that he’s encouraged, filled, and challenged with a whole bunch of good ideas on how to best serve and lead our church.
