Participants at our first ever Foundations conference enjoyed a free-flowing, intimate time of conversation and learning with Andy Root. Our answer to Jesus’ open-ended question, Will there be faith? Oh yes. Even though the kingdom always lies beyond us; even though we can accomplish only a fraction of the magnificent enterprise that is God’s work still….we plant seeds, we water seeds, we lay foundations, we provide yeast that produces far beyond our capabilities. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, an opportunity for the Lord’s grace to enter in and do the rest. (from a reading in memory of Oscar Romero which we shared together).

Evening Concert with Mark Glanville Jazz Trio

Conferees were treated to several hours of musical virtuosity. Trio leader Mark Glanville opened up jazz music as a metaphor for the inventiveness and improvisation rooted in biblical tradition needed in the church today.
