Pelvic Pain Awareness Month

PRM NEWSLETTER for MAY 2023

At PRM, we recognize that often for our patients, pelvic health is tied to women’s health.

Often swept under the rug, women’s health issues that lead to persistent pelvic pain deserve to be understood…and treated! At PRM, we can do that.

More About Pelvic Pain

Chronic pelvic pain affects 15% of women, with a variety of health issues triggering that pain.
Additionally, pelvic pain in men can often be overlooked due to its relation to issues such as chronic prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, and pain with bowel movement.

Our Pelvic Pain Treatment

How is Our Treatment Different?

Our unique in-office, ultrasound-guided approach to the pelvis is the first of its kind in the country.
Pelvic pain symptoms are often caused by a combination of spastic pelvic floor muscles with restricted, inflamed pelvic nerves. Our office-based procedure reverses the spastic pelvic floor muscles and works to create space around the pelvic nerves, allowing them to flow freely, receive blood flow and heal.

AMA Dr. Ally: Why Do I Need Treatment on Both Sides of the Pelvis

Dr. Allyson Shrikhande explains the importance of completing PRM’s treatment.
Our unique procedural approach, combined with our highly specialized pelvic pain providers focusing solely on being leading experts in the pelvic pain community has been the key to our success.
