The nets are up, and the courts are ready for play at Scranton Tennis Club (as long as the weather cooperates!). STC is now accepting membership applications. Our early bird discount ends May 20th. We encourage you to sign up now for one or more leagues or organized play groups. There is something for everyone! Contact your league coordinator to get signed up. Spring Cleanup Rescheduled for this weekend

Spring Cleanup had to be cancelled last weekend because of the rain. Volunteers are needed for Spring Clean-Up on Saturday May 6 at 9am. Come lend a hand refreshing the club, putting up windscreens, getting furniture out and other tasks. Bring gloves and an 8ft ladder (if easy to bring) and come make a difference. OPEN HOUSE
Our Open House will be held on Saturday, May 20 from 11 am to 2 pm, at which time we can answer any questions you may have. We will have a few exhibition matches featuring some of our club members, but there will also be opportunities for you to participate. In addition there will be games for younger children and a number of other activities.

Thanks, Joe! Head pro Joe McNulty is in charge of court maintenance at the club, and Joe and his crew did a great job getting the courts ready for summer play.

Joe offers private and group instruction for juniors and adults. The morning session of his junior clinics is pretty much filled, but there are openings for high school age and advanced students in the afternoon. Check out the Junior Learn and Play Program here.

STC will be offering a USTA Tennis 101 program for adults. Learn the basics of the game in a fun and relaxed environment. The program includes a one-hour lesson each week followed by a half hour of play time. Classes will be held on Sundays at 1 pm starting on June 4. The cost is $25/session. Kathleen McKenna (sis054@yahoo.com) will be the instructor. Sign-up is on a weekly basis. Contact Kathleen to register or for more information.
