Teacher Appreciation Week Reminders
We appreciate all the work our staff does throughout the year, but this is the week to really highlight how special they are and how much they impact all of our students. Our administration team and Board of Trustees have a week full of treats and thanks planned, but here are two we'd love your help with!

A Unique Bouquet
Bring a flower Wednesday!
Last year this was a big hit, and our teachers appreciated the thoughtfulness behind each item in their community created bouquets. Please bring a flower or piece of foliage to add to a vase for each staff member you'd like to thank. Home-cut, store-bought, all are welcome! Would you like to help prepare this activity? Reach out to Courtney Tomlinson for volunteer opportunities.

Say Something Special
Share what you appreciate about our teachers!
All week, we will be collecting adjectives, short phrases, and compliments to our staff using this form. Add as much or as little as you'd like, and the admin team will compile your words in a special way for our staff.

K-6 Elective Classes
Exploration and Play
Our student electives are back, and kindergarten through 6th grade students get to select the classes they'd like to attend. Whether it's fairy gardens in the wetlands, soccer drills, or crafting and writing opportunities, our teachers are leading fun and engaging classes for the students. We know choice and exploration are key components in developing curious and creative thinkers!

Learning in Action
Around the World with Tumtum
|
|
Our Preschool students are going around the world with their current thematic, and are now "visiting" The Netherlands! Today they took a field trip to the Holland America tulip farm in Woodland, and last week they enjoyed Hagelslag, a very popular breakfast food or snack in The Netherlands. The name comes from “hagel” meaning “hail” in Dutch, because it reminded the creator of hail when he sprinkled it on his bread! The students agreed unanimously that we would serve hagelslag at their Celebration of Learning in June so that their parents would have a chance to try it, too.
