England Football Accredited Clubs can apply for between £2,000 to £10,000 to help them grow or develop female football at their club, in the pursuit of providing an ‘Equal Game’.

The purpose of this Fund is to increase the number of Clubs attending an Equal Game Workshop delivered by County FAs, promote the value and benefits of the Workshop and ultimately support the Gamechanger Objective of Equal Access for girls in Clubs.

A set of FAQs has been compiled to explain the eligibility criteria, what the Fund can be spent on, and how to apply. County FAs should share with any Clubs who have already attended an Equal Game Workshop, and for those who are yet to host, it can be used to incentivise future attendance. Wider promotion of this Fund is encouraged and the Equal Game social assets, which can be found in the W&G General Channel, can be used.

Clubs can apply for the Fund until the 31st May with successful Clubs notified by 30th June. We will liaise with CFAs over applications before the panel decides on awarding to any successful Clubs.

Congratulations to the following Manchester FA Match Officials who have all received promotions following successful performances throughout the 2022/23 season.

Are you qualified 2023/24? Next season will see additional requirements for coaches to have undertaken the FA child safeguarding qualification along a valid DBS. This is also a key requirement for teams and clubs to achieve affiliation for next season, so we are asking all grassroots junior clubs to cascade this information to their team coaches.

Ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of Grassroots football in Greater Manchester is one of the key aspirations for Manchester FA and we all have a responsibility in helping to keep grassroots football safe. Did you know online shopping can help your club to fund pitch fees, new kit and equipment, running costs, and anything else you need? In the last 30 days, James K has raised £293.13 for his local football club; by shopping at Currys, House of Fraser, and TUI. How? Through easyfundraising. His club has joined easyfundraising, so every time he shops online, a percentage of what James spends is shared with them - for free. All James has to do is visit the easyfundraising website or app first before visiting his favourite retailer, so the cashback is tracked.

With 8 in 10 UK shoppers shopping online, registering with easyfundraising is an easy way for coaches, players, volunteers, and parents to support their club. There are over 7,500 retailers to shop with, so no matter what they’re buying online, there’s cashback available for your club.
