SUBJECT: New Method for Paying Infinite Campus Fees

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are writing to inform you about important changes to the Infinite Campus (IC) platform that will impact student payments. Beginning July 2023, the integration between IC and RevTrak will no longer be supported by IC. As a result, all fees assigned in IC, including course, materials, and iPad fees will no longer show up in Revtrak and will need to be paid directly in IC through Campus Payments. RevTrak may still be used for clubs, field trips, and other payments of fees not assigned in IC.

Starting today, families can make payments using Campus Payments. Please visit this link for instructions on how to pay outstanding fees in Infinite Campus.

Again thank you for your continued partnership. We appreciate your understanding as we make this transition. If you have any questions regarding fees or Campus Payments, please contact your school’s front office and they will be able to support you.

Sincerely,

Department of Finance and District Technology Services

St. Vrain Valley Schools

 Atentamente,

Department of Finance and District Technology Services

HIGHLANDS' FAMILIES

Last Call!!  Are You Returning for 23-24? If you have not done so, please fill out this form if you are moving, changing schools, or disenrolling your child for any reason.    This helps our school with class sizes and FTE for staff.  (Fifth Grade parents need not respond for their student moving to middle school.)  Thank you for your quick response.

Unpaid Insurance Balances

This is a reminder for parents with outstanding LTP Student iPad Insurance balances. Students' current iPad insurance must be paid in full to be eligible for insurance the following year. Please make sure you log into IC to pay the balance.

Students who are NOT returning to a St Vrain Valley School will need to return their ipad and charger to the school before the last day of school.  You can drop them with your child's current teacher or at the office.

Library books are due!  Please make sure you return your student's library books before the end of the year.  Notices will be coming home but if you have any questions you can email David Welch.  welch_david@svvsd.org

Lunch payments need to be paid in full by the end of the school year.  Notices have gone home in student's back packs.  You can pay online if you have a My School Bucks account or you can write a check made out to Highlands Elementary Food Service,  If you have any questions regarding lunch payments, please contact  nutritionservices-group@svvsd.org.

Dear Families:
My name is Annalee Brooks, M.S., CCC-SLP (aka “Ms. Annie”), and I’m the speech-language
pathologist at Highlands Elementary School.

I’m writing to let you know that May is Better Hearing and Speech Month. Communication
disorders—which include speech, language, and hearing difficulties—are among the most
common disorders that school-aged children experience. Left unaddressed, they can significantly
affect a child’s academic success. You can learn more about communication disorders, and how
speech-language pathologists help, here: www.asha.org/public/speech/development/speech-and-language-services-in-schools/.

It’s important for us all to reflect on how we can be respectful and supportive of those in our
school community who have speech, language, or hearing difficulties. Remind children to be
understanding by giving classmates time to express themselves; by focusing on what they say
instead of how they say it; and by never bullying someone because of how they communicate.
It’s also a good time for families to consider how they can help their children continue to
improve their communication, literacy, and learning skills during the summer months. I
recommend some simple but meaningful steps: having a dedicated time for reading every day
(and even writing in a summer journal); having rules for using screen-based technology (such as
daily time limits or tech-free times, including family breakfasts or dinners); and prioritizing
outdoor and/or creative activities. Most children won’t need workbooks or formal educational
programs over the summer, but they will benefit tremendously from participating in recreational
activities that allow them to move, explore, and interact with their peers.

I wish you a happy Better Hearing and Speech Month—and a fun, relaxing, and safe summer.
Best wishes,

Annalee (“Annie”) Brooks

President George W. Bush first proclaimed the month on April 20, 2006. In 2020 the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia repositioned Jewish American Heritage Month to empower communities across the country to celebrate the inspiring history of Jewish people in America; educate diverse public audiences about Jewish culture; and spark crucial conversations about the American Jewish present and future.
