Welcome to The Summer Pennsylvanian! All of Penn Dining's facilities have now passed their annual health inspections, and two Penn professors have been elected to the American Philosophical Society. But first, let's start with Penn baseball securing its first Ivy League championship in almost 30 years over the weekend.

Penn baseball wins Ivy championship in dominant fashion

For the first time since 1995, Penn baseball sits atop the conference throne with a 16-3 victory over Princeton in the championship game of the Ivy League Tournament. The dominant win also secures a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Quakers, with their destination and opponent to be determined next week.

  1. All Penn Dining facilities are now in compliance with Philadelphia health codes after three dining locations recently passed their annual health inspections.
  2. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis launched his 2024 presidential campaign at a Twitter event with 1997 College and Wharton graduate Elon Musk, who recently stepped down as the social media platform's CEO. 
  3. Two Penn professors were elected to the American Philosophical Society, which aims to engage scholars in civic and cultural affairs.
  4. Professor Emeritus of History of Art Robert Ousterhout, a leading scholar in Byzantine studies, died on April 23 at the age of 73.
