This Sunday: “Gods Design for Life and Death”

God is the author of life and on many occasions caused the death of those He thought deserved it. The Bible is full of stories of God’s people killing their enemies. As we remember those who sacrificed their lives to protect or rescue others this Memorial Day weekend, this a good time to look at the 6th Commandment, “You shall not murder” found in Exodus 20:13. We are going to look at what the Bible reveals about God’s Design for Life and Death. Was Jesus a pacifist? When is it permissable to take someone's life? How can love overpower the anger and hate that leads to murder? How can we experience eternal life? Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged to honor God’s design for life and death.

We meet at 10:15am for our  one hour worship service at 93 Midway Dr in Virginia MN. No need to dress up - just show up!

Join us for an hour of prayer on Thursday June 1st from 6:30-7:30pm as we pray for the people and ministries of Rockwell Church. We will meet in the lower level. Please come pray with us.

The next VBS volunteer meeting will be at 6:30 June 5th.

Snacks are needed for VBS. There is a sign-up sheet next to the VBS table in the entry. Thank you for helping provide snacks for the kids.

We are having a Church potluck after the worship service on Sunday, June 25th. Please invite your friends and neighbors to join us.

The first Iron Range Renewal gathering will be June 21st at 6:30 in the Hibbing High School Auditorium.

Help is needed for Children’s Church.  If you are willing to help out for a Sunday or two, please sign up on the Sign-Up Sheet by the kid’s classroom downstairs.  There is a copy showing the dates on the bulletin board across from the restrooms upstairs. All volunteers need an approved background check before working with kids.

We need volunteers to help clean the church while Bev is recovering. There is a sign-up sheet on the information table in the entry. If you could sign up for one day that would be so helpful. Please contact Julie Teien with questions.

Fusion Youth Group will be going mini golfing at Greens on Foreteenth June 7th at 6:00pm. Please contact Vickie T. with any questions.

Everyone is invited to help prepare decorations for VBS on Wed., 5/31 at 9:30am & 6:30pm. Your help is very appreciated.

The summer schedule for Miracle Bible Camp and Trout Lake Bible Camp is on the table in the entryway.

The church office will be closed Monday for the Memorial Day holiday. The church office will be open normal hours 9am-2pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
