Join Us For The Unveiling of Our New Pride Crosswalk Intersection at King William St. and Ferguson Ave. North

We’re building an inclusive village where everyone belongs. That’s why we’re proud to unveil our long-awaited Pride Crosswalk Intersection as part of our commitment to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

This crosswalk is just one step towards a true reflection of the community we serve. It’s a symbol that instantly tells folks that they have a place here and that who they are will be respected, validated, and loved. That’s #TheVillage. It's your village. It's our village. And all are welcome here.

Join us in celebration Thursday, June 1st starting at 5:30pm.

We'll be officially unveiling the project at Ferguson Ave. N. and King William St. at 6pm and celebrations will follow in the Theatre Aquarius lobby. A live DJ, drag performances by House of Adam and Steve, the Theatre Aquarius bar will be open, and the BIA will be providing light food.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario announced a $23.25-million investment to establish My Main Street — a two- year program to support the recovery and revitalization of main streets and local businesses in southern Ontario.

My Main Street is helping to rebuild local main streets by driving business and restoring vibrancy to local communities across southern Ontario as Canadians recover from the pandemic.

Support for this project was provided by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

The International Village BIA will be providing a limited number of special edition Pride International Village Tote Bags to businesses in the BIA to hand out for Pride Month (June). Please email Brendan (wettonbrendan@gmail.com) to arrange for a drop-off of bags
at your business.

Businesses in the International Village BIA can now pick up a Progress Pride Flag door decal for FREE at Atomica Tattoo & Art Studio (203 King St. East). Pick up yours today and display the stickers on the front door or window of your business.
