"Looking Back and Moving Forward." This is the theme for San Francisco's 2023 Pride, which is in perfect alignment with our own vision for the year ahead: we honor where we've come from, as we bring you more opportunities to build our community. We are thrilled to once again have a presence in this year's festivities, opening Pride with a ceremonial blessing, as well as representing BAAITS as a contingent in the parade. Volunteer opportunities are available to make our presence strong, as well as many events throughout the month of June to celebrate Two-Spirit Pride. Join us!

This re-creation of posters was commissioned by the American Indian Cultural District (AICD) in partnership with Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, American Indian Film Institute (AIFI), and the Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS). It acknowledges Ramaytush Ohlone land. The poster collection celebrates the history of connection and partnership between the American Indian community and events at Fort Mason and fosters a sense of belonging for American Indian organizations within the AICD Hub.

Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits (BAAITS) is an all-volunteer organization that exists to restore and recover the role of Two-Spirit people within the American Indian/First Nations community by creating a forum for the spiritual, cultural and artistic expression of Two-Spirit people. To that end, BAAITS is committed to offering culturally relevant activities for LGBTQ+ individuals of Native American ancestry and their families and friends.
