Our next Day of Service is just 4 weeks away! What better way to start your weekend in this early summer weather than being outdoors with your friends and family, doing some good in the community?
We have a number of sites across the East Bay still in need of volunteers -- we hope you'll join us as we address the needs of our community partners!
Children Rising (Oakland) is devoted to ensuring that every young child gets a fair chance to learn in school and succeed in life.
Harbor House (Oakland) is a Christian community development organization that provides a safe place for families to flourish.
Shepherd’s Gate (Livermore) helps women & children escape cycles of addiction, homelessness, and abuse.
Hope Solutions (Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Pittsburg) provides permanent housing solutions and vital support services to vulnerable families and individuals.

Donations needed of lightly-used, in-season clothing as we prepare to bring high-quality clothing to our neighbors with the next CARE-a-Van during the June 24th Day of Service. If you are doing a spring cleaning at home, consider bringing your donation to us! Your clothing donations are given away at no cost to our guests. We are most in need of the following items:

Saint Matthew Lutheran Church is hosting a 60+ event as part of a regular Mix and Mingle series. Each person is asked to bring $5 to contribute toward the cost of the hamburgers and hot dogs and to bring a side dish and favorite beverage to share. Christ Church East Bay welcomes volunteers to join our Loaves and Fishes team for a monthly outreach to our unhoused neighbors. The next event is on Saturday, June 10th, 9am - 1pm.
Guns to Gardens - Saturday, June 10th, 10 am - 2 pm @ At Thy Word Ministries
Turn in a gun & get a garden tool forged from guns + up to $300 in gift cards, depending on gun value.

Global 6K for Water
Bay Area Chinese Bible Church (BACBC) had great participation in the 6K bike ride and are fundraising to get clean water to communities in need! CLICK HERE to learn more and support this effort.

Resurrection Oakland Church in downtown Oakland is seeking one person to join our childcare team on Sundays! Responsibilities include welcoming families at our check-in and assisting in our Kinder-2nd grade classroom. Hours 9:30am-12 noon weekly on Sundays. Pay negotiable based on experience.
