Our Dunbar cello players and other young musicians gave a wonderful concert at El Verano School on May 11. It was wonderful to support and cheer on our young Dunbar musicians!
In the future, our Dunbar children will be attending other schools in the district but will continue with ViVO after school! So, we will continue to support that “Music changes lives” through learning to play an instrument and join an orchestra not only with the children who attended Dunbar but we will support additional underserved children in our area.

Klara Crean and Michael Fesckes
ViVO's Leaders

Thank you for all your continued support during this difficult time for our Dunbar children. The district may close Dunbar School but BBC-Schools continues to make a difference in the lives of the children in our area! And a special thank you to Stephanie Chapralis, Dennis McCaffrey, Eleanor Albon, Laurie
Hogen, & Russ Engel for attending the concert earlier this month.

Redwood Gospel Mission
Graduation Ceremony
|
|
|
On May 7, Redwood Gospel Mission celebrated the 12 men and women who completed the “New Life”program. Each received a graduation certificate and some received extra recognition for completing special training, such as food handling and retail management. Inspirational testimonies presented, uplifting music and dance shared, and prayers given in thanksgiving for changed lives, through the grace of our Lord Jesus. Rich R, Ron K, Brian B, and I were blessed to have witnessed this!
Thanks be to God!

LIVING SACRAMENTALLY: AN EASTERTIDE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY |
|
Are you interested in reflecting on the meaning of your baptism for the questions, challenges, and opportunities you face in daily life? During Easter Season (also known as the Great Fifty Days), Phina Borgeson and Paul Mallatt will be offering an online, Zoom-based course called “Living Sacramentally.” All in our Russian River Deanery are invited to explore what it means to live into our baptisms, and meet the questions, challenges and opportunities to live faithfully in our daily lives. Five sessions will each be focused on a sign of baptism: water, oil, name, new clothes, light. A short reflection from one of the facilitators and a key text from scripture or the Book of Common Prayer will lead into open dialogue among those who participate. Newly baptized adults and older teens, as well as parents and godparents of newly baptized children and infants, are especially encouraged to participate, but all are welcome. Eastertide is a traditional time for Christians to reflect on living sacramentally; as part of the catechumenal process it is called “mystagogy.”
Meetings will be Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Pacific, beginning April 18 for five weeks. Paul Mallatt (paulyfa@me.com) and Phina Borgeson (phinaborgeson@gmail.com) will be facilitating. Contact either of them with questions or to receive the Zoom link.
