Greetings!
Over the last two years, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has achieved remarkable progress in the field of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) through its dedicated state mission called 'Mission Ankur.' The primary objective of this mission has been to enhance the educational achievements of 2.3 million students in Grades 1 to 3 studying across all 80,000 government schools in the state.
The academic and governance reforms in Madhya Pradesh have generated significant enthusiasm within the state's ecosystem, owing to numerous successful initiatives including:
Developing teaching methods and materials based on new & innovative activity-based pedagogy
Training 90,000 teachers through expert trainers in physical, digital, and blended formats
Over the coming months, the government is committed towards:
Setting up a teacher ‘mentoring and support’ program with school visits, cluster-level peer learning
Enabling effective decision-making through tech-based monitoring in reviews

With these interventions already being rolled out, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a step forward to further strengthen the implementation of various reforms at the district level and has launched the ‘Madhya Pradesh NIPUN Professionals Program’ in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

MPNPP offers a unique opportunity for India's brightest and most promising youth to build a career in public policy by working closely with the government system on India’s national FLN mission, ‘NIPUN Bharat’. The program will place one NIPUN Professional in each of the 52 districts across Madhya Pradesh for a duration of two years to work closely with the District Collector, CEO-ZP, and District Education team. They will play an instrumental and transformational role in achieving the goals set by the government, with the government.
