Giallo. We have found in our
Schaulager marvelous works by artists of the Gallery.
Vincentiu Grigorescu - worked almost five decades in black and white – as recently exhibited at Art Brussels – but expressed a love for yellow at the end of the
90s. His vibrant
Primavera from
1995 – 2000, opens the exhibition along with
Senza Titolo 1, a small yellow square painting with a black frame.
The Cartesian rules of
Diet Sayler’s
Konkrete Kunst turn into a joyful tourbillon of geometrical shapes in the work
Giocco, and in
Monreale II, the reductive yellow–gold background with the red geometrical insertions seems a metaphor of the marvelous cathedral in
Sicily.
Maria Bordeanu is caring us into the golden
Ceiling 2 of the
Versailles Opera, in the hyperrealist partial view painting.
The yellow is also around in
Petrica Stefan’s organic centers in dialogue with the geometrical surroundings, an aura that sparks.
Romul Nutiu, apart from his joy explosion in the work
Composition XV, an abstract dance in yellow and turquoise, brings us close to an exceptionally figurative small painting with the shape of an yellow elephant,
Italian Mask.
Adriana Elian’s fabulous
Cetate sunset painting –
Pages of a Tale in the Twilight – recalls the magic of the summer residencies.
Stefan Radu Cretu’s dynamic kinetic inventions in yellow present works from a funny giggling giraffe and a flying bird to a reductive abstract mechanism.
Last but not least and new to the Gallery,
Andrei Hâncu challenges himself to create his artistic identity by filtering and choosing images from the variety and massiveness available in the Internet, which he later on edits and refines. His preferred color: yellow.
