 ANNOUNCEMENTS

May 21, 2023

WELCOME!  If you are a visitor or new to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church—we’re glad you’re here. Worship at our church is a joyful, prayerful, music-filled, traditional and modern experience. We worship to glorify God and build up the community of believers to live in this world as followers of Jesus Christ.

The 8:30 am traditional service meets in Sanner Chapel, immediately inside the front entrance of the church. Our second service, The Gathering, takes place at 9:30 am in Asbury Center. Our traditional 10:45 am service is in the Sanctuary and is livestreamed on our website, Facebook and YouTube. You can also access the livestream by clicking here

Three Rivers Ringers, MLUMC's Artist in Residence, will present "Bells of the 'Burgh" on Sunday,  May 21st at 6PM in the sanctuary.  Come hear music with a Pittsburgh connection including Singin' in the Rain (Gene Kelly), Baby Elephant Walk (Henry Mancini) Won't You Be My Neighbor( Fred Rogers) and more!!  You'll be treated to 14 musicians playing 7 full octaves of bells.  The concert is free, with donations gladly accepted.

Prayer Partners Needed
The youth mission team is again looking for prayer partners for our annual mission. We like for each participant (youth and adult)  to have a couple of people praying specifically for them as we prepare to embark upon the trip. The trip is July 9th-15th this year. Look for Stephanie Lowe after service or contact her at youth@mlumc.org or 412-584-5446.

Summer Rummage Sale

Mark your calendars! The Summer Rummage Sale is back and better than ever. The Summer Rummage Sale is the perfect opportunity to donate all of the treasures you have found while spring cleaning, but no longer have a use for.

You can support the rummage sale and missions it benefits in two ways:

Donation of Your Items: Contributions include clothing, housewares, furniture, jewelry, books, children’s clothing, toys, and decorations. We cannot accept computers, older TVs, or non-working appliances. Please bring your donations to Asbury Center. As always we have volunteers with trucks who can pick up large pieces. Please call the church office if you need assistance with the donation of your goods.
Donation of Your Time: We need volunteers to set up and sort items starting Wednesday, May 31st. We will also need volunteers the day of the sale to assist in selling, bagging, and clean up.
During the sorting of items taking place Wednesday, May 31st – Friday, June 2nd, all volunteers will be served lunch along with a dinner of leftovers served on Thursday, June 1st. If you cannot donate your time and have no goods to donate, consider preparing food for the volunteers. If you wish to prepare food, please email Mary Garber at mgarber1989@aol.com.

If you have any questions or wish to volunteer, please email any one of the following individuals:
Mary Garber: mgarber1989@aol.com

Calling All Graduates!
Graduation Sunday is June 4.
If you are graduating, or you know someone who is graduating, from high school, college or a post-grad program, please contact Kim Rhoton at
krhoton@mlumc.org

Every Sunday there are three opportunities to enhance our 10:45 service for in person and online worship: house slides, sound, and livestream attendants.  Starting in April, we desire to have a rotating schedule that would only require commitment for one Sunday a month.  Training is simple and available by just sitting with the team in the balcony.  Specific training times can also be set up by request.
No previous experience is necessary. Please contact the church office to join the digital worship team!
