Time to submit sustainability abstracts
The Institute for Management & Innovation will host its second international sustainability conference, Sustainability: Transdisciplinary Theory, Practice and Action (STTPA), Oct. 11-13. They welcome contributions from all disciplines and stakeholders. The STTPA Call for Abstracts provides information on submitting papers, posters, proposals for themed sessions, panel discussions, workshops and more. Abstracts are due May 28. Learn more

The Agenda Committee of Academic Board has approved the appointment of Alison Syme as Acting Vice-Dean, Faculty from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2023.
Syme is an associate professor in UTM's Department of Visual Studies. She received her PhD in Art History from Harvard University in 2005.
During her time at UTM, Professor Syme has held several administrative positions, including Chair of Visual Studies. Learn more
The Institute for Management and Innovation (IMI) welcomes Shauna Brail as director, for a five-year term.
IMI empowers and inspires, builds leaders, and develops the skills needed to harness innovation and apply it to create positive impacts for people and communities.
Brail joined the University of Toronto in 2005 and previously served as the Presidential Advisor on Urban Engagement. Prior to joining U of T, she worked in management consulting and in the Ontario provincial government. Read more
