LET’S MAKE SURE NEW YORK STAYS BLUE!

WE ARE A FORMIDABLE FORCE!

Indivisible Santa Cruz County postcard writers contributed to Commit to Democracy writing over 600K postcards to voters in 2022! We can certainly pat ourselves on the back! But when we are done doing that, let’s acknowledge that there is a greater threat to Democracy today than there was in 2020 and 2022.

Remember election night 2022 and the week after as we all learned that we lost 4 unexpected NY Districts? Well, we want to get them back in 2024.

What a different world it would be if we had WON the House and Senate majority! We are writing to two Districts in NY17, where we lost to Republicans by a small margin (2000 votes) and need to flip blue in 2024.

We are writing to Young Voters in two Districts in NY: District 4 and 17 where we lost to Republicans by small margins and need to flip blue in 2024.
There is a primary in NY on June 27th that will elect some key local positions and important legislation.

The only way we can stop this madness is to turn out the vote in 2024 and win every election in between. There is a New York June Primary for judges and other key local positions/legislation. We know now how important local governments are in protecting our Democracy and our freedoms. We know that early and continual engagement of voters increases turnout.

It starts by registering voters! It starts by building the Youth Vote. It starts by reaching out to voters in Districts that flipped to Red and making sure they know specifically what they lost by having a Republican representing them.

It starts by sending the message that WHEN DEMOCRATS GOVERN, THINGS GET BETTER! We NEED EVERY VOTE to win in 2024 and the work starts now!

So, take a moment right now and order postcards to write and mail. Do it with a friend or two and energize a group to reach out to Americans about their Democracy!
