This past Friday at 5AM, Annika and I jumped into our U-Haul with everything we owned to head north for Toronto! After living in Louisville for so long, it was hard moving away from the friends and places we have grown to love so much. Let me tell you though, when we showed up at our new apartment here, what an amazing encouragement it was seeing so many of you there to help us move in! I mean wow! You truly are a hospitable church; I think our new home may have been filled more with you than with boxes.
We loved unpacking with you, eating pizza with you, and I think that it is fair to say a sweet, sweet time of fellowship was had by all. Indeed, it truly was “tons of fun”!
Annika and I are so excited to get to know all of you and we are very much looking forward to the sweet friendships and memories that will be formed in the weeks, months, and years that lie ahead as we do life together. To those of you we have already gotten to know and love, we cannot wait to spend even more time together. To those of you we have not met yet, we are so excited to get to know you!
Please come up to us and say hello. Good friendship and community is a blessing, and Annika and I have already gotten to experience what a loving, kind, and generous church you are in our few short days here. Keep loving each other well, keep serving one another faithfully, and most of all, keep relying on the greatest friend we could ever ask for and depend upon - our Lord Jesus Christ!
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Thanks for being a church that has already encouraged Annika and I so much!

Question 22:
Why must the Redeemer be truly human?
Answer:
That in human nature he might on our behalf perfectly obey the whole law and suffer the punishment for human sin.
