Spring Cleaning (Supply Drive)!
Mission and Outreach will be starting Oakland’s 2nd quarter community drive! This quarter we will be collecting cleaning supplies for the Smithfield Rescue Mission. They are always in need of regular household cleaning supplies as well as items such as large trash bags, powdered laundry detergent, and liquid dish soap. As we do our own Spring cleaning this season, let's help them do theirs! Items may be dropped off on the designated table in the fellowship hall though June 25th.

Light housework help needed
There is a need for some light housework help from a member of our congregation. It would be about
2-3 hours a week and it would be paid. If this is something that you or someone you know would be interested in, please email Kate in the office and she can get you in contact with the member.

Senior Luncheon
Providence Presbyterian Church will be holding a Senior Luncheon on Thursday June 8th at 12pm. If you are interested please contact Tammy Pflum (tammypflum78@gmail.com or 919-656-8960) by June 2nd. Menu is hamburgers, hotdogs, beans with all the trimmings and dessert. Lunch is free and there will be a guest speaker!

We will celebrate graduates on Sunday, June 4th during youth Sunday. If you have a senior graduating from High school or college, please let us know so we can celebrate them. Please send their, name, school they are graduating from, degree they are receiving (if college graduate) and their future plans if you want to share. Please email Kate (secretary@oaklandpresbyterianchurch.org) or Sarah (sarah@oaklandpresbyterianchurch.org) with this information so we can be sure to celebrate with them on June 4th during the youth Sunday worship service.

Save the Date for Youth Sunday
Sunday June 4th the youth will lead us in worship service. Hope to see you there!

You are Invited!!
Please come and join us on Sunday, June 4th after youth Sunday as we "Celebrate our History and Envision our Future". The Mission Study team will give a report on the survey we all took in February and lunch will be provided! We hope to see you there!

Bob and Janet Foor are leading a weekly Bible Study on Wednesday at 11am in the Parlor.

There is also an evening weekly Bible Study led by Pastor Debbie. This group is on a break through the summer and will pick back up in the fall with the study of Acts.

Be Bold is the ministry for 4th-6th graders and their meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Be Bold is on break for the summer but be on the lookout for a possible get together over the summer!

PYC is youth group for 7-12th graders and holds their meetings every Sunday at 4:30pm in the youth center. PYC will have their end of year party on Sunday, June 4th at 5pm and then they will be on break for the summer. Be on the look out for some hangout opportunities and some service opportuities too!
