Saxon Stahl: Leading on Climate Through Student Governance
Stahl founded the official student government of the Columbia Climate School, writing a constitution and bylaws that will empower students and promote representation and equity. Their leadership was recognized with a Campbell Award.

Aaron Stockel: From Byzantine History to Modern Politics
In an interview, the soon-to-be graduate discusses his path from an undergraduate major in Byzantine History and minor in astrophysics, to the MA Climate and Society program and an internship with the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

The Climate School at Manhattanville Community Day
Columbia Climate School’s contribution included a rousing performance by Bash the Trash, a band that uses reused and repurposed materials to make music and raise awareness about environmental challenges.

Upcoming Scientific Fieldwork, 2023 and Beyond
Climate School researchers study the dynamics of the planet on every continent and every ocean, from big cities to the poles. Projects range from climate to basic geology, natural hazards, pollution, new sustainable technologies and more.
