Capital Theatre, Bendigo

Please join us for the Centre for New Energy Technology’s Community Energy Transformers Event in Bendigo!

With generous support from the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, The Centre for New Energy Technologies has conducted a multi-year study on the feasibility of microgrids in regional and rural areas. The project consortium has uncovered significant insights into the challenges and opportunities related to the use of microgrids to support community energy needs in regional Victoria. The Community Energy Transformers event (CET) will present cumulative lessons learnt in these explorations of
community energy, bring together industry, government and community groups to have a deep stakeholder engagement on how to support regional electrification.

The all-day forum event will offer attendees the opportunity to engage with electricity industry subject matter experts who are presenting on topics including starting, managing, and funding community energy projects, an introduction to the latest tools designed to help communities understand their energy options and workshops specifically tailored to advancing community energy goals.

Whether you are an industry professional, a community group at the beginning of your energy journey or have been working on local energy solutions for years, we’ve pulled together key insights and tangible recommendations for the diverse user groups involved in regional electrification.
