Artworks Center for Contemporary Art (ACCA) is seeking submissions for ENGULFED, an exhibition shedding light on the crisis of forest fires across the globe. Artists may respond to the forest fires by developing work that focuses on global warming, resource destruction, property damage, loss of life, wilderness protection, sustainability, political issues, fire mitigation, first responders, or broadly conceptual work dealing with the interpretation of “engulfed”.

 Domestic Violence: An Artist’s Perspective

Alternatives to Violence in partnership with Artworks Center for Contemporary Art invites artists working in a variety of media techniques to enter Domestic Violence: An Artist's Perspective, a juried exhibition. This exhibition will primarily serve to raise awareness of domestic violence in our area and your contribution will help survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and sexual assault right here in our community.

Woven in Resilience: A Feminine Perspective of Contemporary Indigenous Art

This year we are planning an important exhibition and would love your support!  

We are excited to announce that on October 13th, we will be opening our fall exhibition and programming schedule with artwork by Indigenous artists and curated by Danielle SeeWalker! SeeWalker is Húŋkpapȟa Lakȟóta and citizen of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota from Denver, Colorado.

Additional programming for this Contemporary Indigenous exhibition will include a fashion show, Chef's Table by Chef Andrea Murdoch,  a 3- part lecture series by Melanie Yazzie, and more! 

Profits from artwork sales will be donated to the the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives Task Force of Colorado (MMIR). Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives Task Force of Colorado is a Grassroots group of advocates working to bring awareness to the crisis level of violence against Indigenous people in CO. Founded in December 2020.
