Planning For Peace Of Mind

We hope this finds you well, happy and healthy! In line with our mission of continuing to support our clients even after their matter with us has reached a resolution, we wanted to reach out to them to ask a simple but important question: Do you have your estate planning documents in place?
So many people finish a divorce or custody case, but never update these very important documents, and that can have disastrous results for your family and loved ones if you were to pass away unexpectedly.  If you were to die today – what would happen to your assets?  What would happen to your children? How would your loved ones be equipped to deal with the complexities of the probate process, all while dealing with overwhelming grief?

I know from personal experience how important it is to have a Will in place, along with other end of life planning.  When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, and died 4 months later, we were so thankful that all of those decisions had already been made.  While dealing with devastating news, we didn’t have to also waste time and energy worrying about what would happen with her remains, or who would have authority to step in and make medical and property decisions for her when she was unable to make them for herself. The careful planning that she did years ago were a gift and a blessing to us.

The truth is that every family needs a current Will and other important documents in place, whether you are married or single, have children or not, or are younger or older. For many years, I have referred our clients to a trusted referral source, Mary Glenn. I am thrilled that Mary decided to join our family lawpractice to enrich our ability to serve our clients.
