The Washoe County Prevention Conference 2023 is the result of community partners coming together to offer our community an education opportunity that supports our youth. We strive to build foundations for the future for our youth, and it is through partnership and collective impact that we can truly make a difference.

JTNN's youth group, Nevada GROWS consists of youth leaders striving to provide substance misuse prevention education, resources, and mentorship for the community.
A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Nevada GROWS Youth Group.

RX DRUG TAKE BACK WAS A SUCCESS! |
|
This year Washoe County participated in the National Drug Enforcement Administration Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday April 22nd, 2023!
April ’23 is the second highest collection weight since 2019 data…when weight in pounds data started! Washoe county collected a total of 148 boxes and 2769.4 lbs of Rx medication! Smiths on Baring Blvd collected the most as they had 634 lbs (39 boxes) of medication!

Arisa is a prevention education specialist and goes to the schools in the community to provide prevention education to elementary, middle, and high schools.
