Please join us outside in our fabulous Living Classroom for this year’s last General PTO Meeting!
We will vote on the proposed board slate, approve our 2023/2024 budget and close any outstanding business. Dr. Brown and experienced parents will be available to address any non-academic questions from rising 6th and 9th grade parents and anyone else!
*We will meet inside in the MRC if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
See you there!
- PTO REGISTRATION & DUES– Please go here and register with the PTO and pay PTO Dues. By registering, and paying dues you will receive all our communications for the year (we share super important things like Spirit Lunches, Spirit Weeks, and other CHMS Happenings) and gain access to our online directory. We’ve Gone Green for the 2023-2024 School Year and will NOT be printing a paper directory. Your PTO Dues help cover our operating costs such as insurance, website, subscriptions and contribute to student and staff initiatives throughout the year. We appreciate your support!
- SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS– Please go here and buy your School Supply Kits for the 2023-2024 School Year. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to get ALL of the supplies needed, and is a PTO Fundraiser. The kits will be delivered to your homes over the summer. Please bring the kits to Back to School Day in August. We will remind you.
- VOLUNTEER– The PTO wouldn’t be successful without help from our community. We are in need of volunteers – especially at theExecutive Board Level of VPs (it’s not that scary or hard – we promise!). There are many other opportunities available as well. Please check out them out here. If you have questions please reach out and let us know – natarelli@gmail.com / meganmannor@yahoo.com
Thanks to all who have donated so far to our Sister School book drive!
If you ordered a commemorative brick this year, they’re now in! Check them out in the front of the school!
Orders will be back up in the fall!
We still need 6th or 7th grade parent volunteers to help at our graduation ceremony on June 2nd to hand out programs and to act as ushers for the ceremony. Arrival time is 1:45pm arrival time and you can leave a little after ceremony starts (about 2:45pm).
Please review the available slots here. Thank you!
Get a head start on your summer plans with these reading lists! And if you need more space on your book shelves at home, please think about donating to our Sister School book drive!

Last week, CHMS celebrated teacher appreciation week. It was a great opportunity for the students, PTO, and community to say thank you to the wonderful CHMS teachers and staff!
The week’s celebrations included the following:
Monday: Delicious breakfast burritos from Pages and co-sponsored by Level Up Academy
Tuesday and Wednesday: Mailbox treats including a coupon from Doughdaddy’s Pizza in Westmont. If you have not tried them yet, be sure to check them out!
Thursday: An afternoon pick me up including cold brew coffees co-sponsored by Tierra Distilling Co. and Kirschbaum Bakery cake pops sponsored by Hinsdale Ortho.
Friday: Lil Deb’s food truck co-sponsored by Kelly Kirchheimer from @properties.
We appreciate all the continued support of the PTO to be able to properly thank our teachers, and also want to give a huge thank you to our sponsors and co-sponsors who helped make this week a success!

Thank you to all the participants from CHMS for joining us at the Wellness House Walk last weekend. The walk raised over $760,000 for the Wellness House to continue their mission of providing free supportive programming for people affected by cancer. To make it even more special, CHMS students performed “Can’t Stop the Feeling” to honor Mrs. Bennington during the opening ceremonies.
