Bricktown District Manager Justin O'Neal receives Hometown Hero Award
Last Wednesday, Visit Oklahoma City hosted its 13th annual awards ceremony at the Will Roger’s Theater and honored local Hometown Heroes. The prestigious award is given to those who embody a passion for Oklahoma City, leadership in the industry, a collaborative spirit, and an ambassador for the destination. This year, Visit Oklahoma City honored twelve individuals and organizations that have exceedingly supported and promoted Oklahoma City tourism. Among the chosen recipients was Bricktown District Manager, Justin O’Neal.

Scissortail Park's free summer concert series returns
Scissortail Park’s popular free Summer Concert Series returns to the Love’s Travel Stops Stage and Great Lawn this Sunday, May 21 at 8:30pm. The 2023 season begins with the community favorite, the OKC Philharmonic directed by Alexander Mickelthwate. The following Friday, May 26 welcomes Jerry Douglas Band with special guests, Oklahoma-based band, Midnight Hollow performing in the first Bluegrass Night at the Park. The Scissortail Park Concerts series run May through September.

Fourth Fridays in the West Village District
The West Village District invites you to attend its monthly Fourth Friday event as it returns in the block party format for the spring and summer. The event will take place with participating businesses, giveaways, and pop-up vendors on Friday, May 26 from 6-8pm. Attendees can participate in the West Village Welcome Walk by spending dollars and receiving a sticker at any three participating businesses during the event to enter a drawing for a one-night stay at 21c Museum Hotel, four tickets to Sofi Tucker at The Jones Assembly as well as gift cards to district businesses.
