It was great to see you all at the Carnival last Friday! Because of your support through PTA, we were able to fully fund the event so that it was free for all -- what a blast!
Next week on Monday, 5/22 and Tuesday, 5/23 we are hosting our EL Education School Credential two-day site visit! Across these two days, we're going to showcase the amazing work that has been going on at Centennial in hopes of earning the official credential in EL Education's three dimensions of student achievement. This process will involve observations in classrooms across our school, focus groups with staff and parents, and time for students to share their work as well. We are thrilled to have been selected for this site visit, and we look forward to hearing great feedback about our school in the coming months.
On Thursday, 5/25, get ready for our school to turn into a spectacular museum for our annual Celebration of Learning! This exciting event is one-of-a-kind and will be held from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Don’t miss it! This year, we’ll have a taco truck out front for the first time as well. Then on Friday, 5/26, we will host Field Day outside on the West playground. Please be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities. We’re excited to come together for a day of fun for our kiddos!
Lastly, I would like to thank the PTA and all of our wonderful families who participated in our fundraisers this year! Your generous donations through Raise Craze, the Spring Auction, and the Crew Contribution Fund have helped us raise money for the following:
A $55,000 Grant to Centennial to provide support staff, like a full-time Restorative Practice Coordinator & a full-time Paraprofessional, that help our kids thrive and keep our kids safe!
