Saturday, June 3 is National Trails Day - A day of Service for Hometown Trails and the People Who Love Them

Let's show this national trail event what Salida and CCMR members can do!

CCMR is teaming up on National Trails Day with Salida Mountain Trails (SMT) to do maintenance and repairs on the Rainbow Trail.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the trails you love, meet new people, and have a great time doing it!

Tools, training and transportation to and from the trail will be provided. No experience needed!  Work will include improving drains, restoring tread, and addressing issues stemming from the Decker fire and subsequent rainstorms.

We'll meet at 8:30am at the CR108/Little Rainbow parking lot, and wrap up back there around 1:30-2pm for free lunch/drinks.

If you want to volunteer your 4x4 or moto for transporting people/tools, let us know when you RSVP.

BRINGING A FRIEND? — Have them RSVP too so we can track headcount and send every participant a waiver.
In early May, four CCMR volunteers spent the day on the Rainbow Trail clearing snowdrifts and downfall - hundreds of branches and more than 30 trunks .... a Herculean effort!  Everyone enjoying the RBT owes them a huge thanks!
Thanks also to our Thursday Workday crew - There was one big hunking tree, no problem for this group. The Rainbow Trail is now entirely clear from Silver Creek terminus to Oak Creek; the entire Salida Ranger District segment. However, Mother Nature ensures fresh downfall will be ongoing.
Please remember … Over. Under. Through. Never around.
CCMR was proud to engage with the community in support City of Salida's Touch-A-Truck event. Kids of all ages had fun sitting the various bikes and learning about our trail work.  Thanks to the members who helped man the booth and thrill the kids.
DEFECTIVE - If you have a 2024 OHV sticker, the red ink my bleed off - but the black ink will still be proof of your registration.
New OHV registration orders are being held until this can be fixed. Please keep using your temporary - it will be honored, even after it expires.
CCMR booth at the AHRA "Gear Up For Summer" Riverside Event'.  Fun and educational for all.
Cheers to Moonlight for donating a portion of their proceeds to CCMR on Moonlight Monday.

Join or Renew Reminder
The new collectible 2024 CCMR stickers that replicate the colors of the Colorado Parks and Recreation OHV stickers have arrived!

A reminder that you are required to purchase the appropriate OHV stickers - valid from April 1 through March 31 each year and required annually. Most of CCMR's grant monies - to preserve, maintain, and expand single track trails - comes from OHV sticker purchases. And your CCMR membership and volunteer hours helps us obtain those grants.

If you joined CCMR or renewed this year, you will receive the 2024 collectible version in the mail while they last.
