Workshop Invitation: Community-based evaluation - Workshop #1
Registration is now open for our June workshop on community-based evaluation!

This workshop is the first of two in a series that will explore community-based evaluation. A community-based approach to evaluation can help evaluation be more meaningful and support community projects in their ability to adapt during disruptive and uncertain times. Community-based evaluation is participatory, equity-focused and action-oriented. The Center for Community Based Research (CCBR) has developed a community-based evaluation framework consisting of 4 phases and 11 steps that will be discussed during these workshops.

The first workshop will focus on the first two phases of this framework:

*Phase One: Laying the Foundation. This phase will help identify your stakeholders, assumptions about evaluation, evaluation purpose, and Theory of Change.

*Phase Two: Evaluation Planning. This phase will assist you in determining the guiding questions and tools necessary for gathering the information you need for evaluation.

The workshop will offer hands-on activities to learn and co-create essential building blocks of evaluation plans, such as the evaluation purpose statement, evaluation questions, and evaluation methods. This workshop is open to projects funded as part of the Supporting the Mental Health of those Most Affected by COVID-19 (MH COVID) initiative.

Workshop Lead: Dr. Dina Taha is a senior researcher at the Center for Community Based Research (CCBR). Dina is a sociologist and a knowledge broker who is driven by social justice, partnership development, and research innovation. Her research passion lies in the intersection of critical theory and reflexive methodology and is driven by community-engaged scholarship and anti-oppressive practices.

Simultaneous interpretation in French will be available.

Zoom details will be sent out prior to the event by Eventbrite.
