Sunday, April 30, was special day for Memorial Park Church of God in Jasper. The church was established on Feb 15, 1953 when eight people met in a rented house with co-pastors Margret McCleskey and Betty Jo Teaford. The building where the church would eventually meet was built in 1958. Since that small beginning the church grew to an apex of 50 in  attendance during the pastorate of Philip Hardin in 2012. The number of people attending started to decline after Pastor Hardin left until this year when eight people remained. The church was considering closing until a new opportunity opened up. Elbin Morales,  the pastor of Iglesia Fuente de Salvacion in Decatur, has a vision to plant a church in every town and city in Alabama. Iglesia Fuente de Salvacion

In this month’s Spotlight I will introduce you to a family of ministers who are planting and growing churches in Alabama. Elbin, his father Jose, mother Luvia and his brothers Marvin and Jose Luis have had many adventures together as a family. They came to America together. They all work together in their family painting business. 
God called Elbin in ministry not only to pastor but to plant churches all across Alabama. He planted his first church in Decatur, Alabama, Iglesia Fuente de Salvacion in 2004. He and his father planted a  church in Huntsville 2020 and other churches as well. When the Memorial Park Church became available this year the congregation brought in Jose as pastor to reach the Hispanic population of Jasper. Elbin’s wife Angie is now in Leadership Focus to become a minister. Marvin plays the keyboard and helps lead worship at Iglesia Fuente de Salvacion. Together they are advancing the kingdom of God as a family.

For all camps:
- Please send registration payments to your church coordinator, through our online payment portal, or to the address at the end of this form.
- Registrations are due online one week before camp, or by check upon arrival the first day of camp.
- Complete registration online at Registration Form.
- Drop off will be 2-4pm the first day of camp, and pick up will be 10-11am the last day of camp.
