RGYC News

Wednesday Member Nights

Last Wednesday night, Commander Firefighter and RGYC Member Malcom Hayes made an amazing presentation on fire safety. The workshop was well attended and the information was provided in a very professional, yet engaging way.

Malcom shared videos and went through scenarios explaining how a fire starts, the most effective ways to put it out and also reminded us of the risks that even phones and small devices powered with lithium batteries present, and how to try to tackle fires originating from lithium batteries.

Member Lindsay Powell, entertained us all by putting on the full firefighter gear in 90 seconds… well… not all but he was close!

Thank you again to Malcom for volunteering his time and provide us with such a great information session!

Next Wednesday members night - 7th and 21st June.

Lock the dates in and stay tuned for the program!

Member Engagement Survey

We are determined to reach out to everyone who has a voice, and that is every member. Your participation in the survey will help us better understand our Club and how it is working.

All survey responses will be collated, providing measured and valuable information about the relationship RGYC members have with the Club. The results will help guide the future direction of RGYC and will be presented to members during information sessions throughout July and August. It is also anticipated that several focus groups will be established to examine areas that need closer attention and member participation in these groups will be encouraged and welcome.

We appreciate that your privacy is important and once the survey has been recorded, any identifying information will be destroyed.  No personally identifying information will be kept unless you provide specific permission for us to follow up with you.

The questions will take about 10-15 minutes to complete, and you are encouraged to take this brief time to help us provide a more positive Club for all members. A link to the survey questions will be provided in the email, however please contact the office if you would prefer to complete a printed version.
