Neuroendocrine mechanisms of seasonal adaptation
The annual change in the nocturnal production of the pineal hormone melatonin has long been known to be pivotal for the seasonal adaptation of biological functions in mammals. Valerie will discuss how this melatonin/TSH/T3 signal impacts hypothalamic circuits to synchronize various biological functions with the seasons.

Nominations are open for our Board of Trustees and Deputy Early Career Researcher Representative
Would you like a say on how the BSN is run? These opportunities may be for you.
The BSN is run by a Committee of Trustees, who serve fixed terms of four years on the Committee but may seek re-election at the end of any term. This year we will have three Trustee vacancies. As such we are seeking nominations for the Board of Trustees.
