| Wow! I recently opened my Facebook feed to see this post. It features Stacey Napier’s first Judy Quilt — a Carnival Flower she recently completed after one of my Zoom Class series earlier this spring!
Nothing is more satisfying to an instructor than to see a result like this! Nice Job, Stacey!
It doesn’t end there… I recently hosted a Quiltworx focused retreat in Shipshewana - Amish country in northern Indiana. Again, the focus was on Carnival Flower. |

During the retreat, I saw Elaine working with these fabrics and they really caught my eye. I got quite a few comments when I posted this little picture of her components on Facebook during the retreat - Stunning, right? |
|
While I saw her making great progress during the retreat, I neglected to get a picture before she left. A few days ago I saw this posting by Elaine of her finished quilt. I’ve seen it gather more than 3,600 likes on Facebook! Pretty impressive for her first paper piecing project! |

Can You Name Each of the Quiltworx Patterns Below? |
|
They are all a variation of the same new Quiltworx pattern, Andromeda!
The base quilt finishes at 68″ x 68″ — but can EASILY be enlarged to a Queen Size 99″ x 99″. This pattern is appropriate for all quiltmakers — from confident beginners to seasoned quilters!
I’m offering a Zoom Class Series featuring this pattern. It will feature five live sessions beginning on Aug. 8 and spaced out at a nice pace through October 31 to give you plenty of sewing time between lessons. Each class will be live on Zoom on Tuesday mornings — from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM Central. If that time doesn’t work for you — then just catch up with the recorded version. With all of my Zoom classes — the recordings will remain accessible to you for at least 6 months (and usually much longer!) And I’m there for you from start to your last stitch! Whether it’s a quick email exchange, a phone call, or a 1-on-1 Zoom session — I’ll make sure you cross the finish line. No UFO’s on my watch. Learn more about the Andromeda Zoom Classes by clicking here. |
|
You can find fabric kits for Adromeda on the Quiltster Marketplace — that’s where I found these examples!
Want help designing your own color way for a Quiltworx quilt? Purchase a Quiltster Consultation and I can help you put your fabrics/colors exactly where you want them! In addition, I’ll provide you with print outs that tell you exactly how much of each fabric to buy, and where they go get the result you’re looking for.
Even better, take advantage of my June 24th upcoming Quiltster class. You can learn how to design your own color way for all Quiltster compatible patterns. Then practice by designing your own unique Andromeda color way! We’ll have a little contest and based on a popular vote the winner will win a free registration to this class with the Andromeda pattern included!

Final Thoughts…. |
|
|
| Central Texans, local pick up is available. For the first time I had a booth at my local guild’s quilt show in Taylor, Texas. It was fun to chat with quilters who stopped by to pick up a strip set or admire a few of the quits I had on display. Universally, the first question was ”where is your shop?” In a closet in my spare bedroom wasn’t the answer they were looking for! |

While I’m happy to ship you quilting notions and supplies anywhere, some times a quilter just feels the need to jump in the car and run to the store. If you’re in the greater Austin area and your favorite local shop doesn’t have what you need, shop the BobKat Quilt Shop online. Place your order online and select “Local Pick up”. Give me call and we’ll schedule your pick up. |
