Free Business Training for contractors with under 250 employees
The University of Lincoln (UoL) contacted us some months ago in relation to Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership training opportunities for small businesses with less than 250 employees. We previously circulated details but we would like to make contractors aware that the offer is still available.
Community Pharmacy Lincolnshire have highlighted to UoL a number of areas where members would like to access additional training and development, these ranged from financial literacy/business finances to leadership and strategic management.
In collaboration with colleagues in the Lincoln International Business School at UoL, the university are offering qualifying pharmacy contractors two great opportunities to develop their business making it more sustainable and resilient.

Mental Health and Productivity Pilot
The Mental Health and Productivity Pilot launched in 2019 to encourage and help Midlands-based employers to support the mental health of the workforce and improve productivity. Originally funded for three years it was recently extended until December 2023 having been awarded further investment by the Department for Work and Pensions and Department for Health and Social Care, to ensure they can continue to help organisations of all sizes to prioritise the health and wellbeing of staff.
The latest HSE statistics make sobering reading https://www.hse.gov.uk/statistics/ in the UK we have seen significant growth in the numbers of people missing work because of work-related stress, depression or anxiety and if the statistics are sobering, the thought of our loved ones, friends and colleagues dealing with these issues is heart-breaking. In addition, with around 17.0 million working days lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety the impact on organisational productivity cannot be underestimated or denied.
If you are an organisation (not just a business) in the Midlands Region and you'd like to find out how you can access FREE support and resources to make your workplace even better, you can find out more at https://mhpp.me/
Should either of these opportunities be of interest to you, please email centreforresilience@lincoln.ac.uk to find out about the next steps.
