OLLI at Emory University is closed Monday, June 19th
Here is your update for June 14, 2023. 
Just a reminder that OLLI and Emory University are closed, Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. If you are not signed up for Dr. Denise Raynor's course on this subject, be sure to inquire or join in other activities around Atlanta or your area to learn more and help recognize the importance of this day.

Looking for something to do outside of the classroom?  Join us at one of Atlanta's Landmarks, Manuel's Tavern.  We have a meet-up scheduled for next Thursday, June 22 at 4pm. Everyone enjoys good food and conversation.  It's a great way to get to know others and interact with staff outside the classrooms.

A Guide To Self-Awareness
Instructor: Enid Susan Carlin Ph.D

This class will enable the students to uncover their thinking processes, emotions, goals and values through a variety of questions presented to the group to discuss. We will also use books and films as s guide to self-awareness. This is a discussion and interactive class, it will be insightful, fun, and creative.

No Boundaries: Music From 6 Continents
Instructor: Howard Cohen

Travel around the globe and sample popular, folk, and ethnic music.  Argentine tangos, Brazilian samba, Andean flutes, Japanese shakuhachi, French chansons, Celtic ballads, Portuguese fado are some of the enchanting musical styles covered in this 5-week course.  Howard will emphasize the inevitable interconnectedness of world music.

OLLI Osher Foundation endowment requirements

We've had a few donations this past week. Thank you to those that have donated this fiscal year! You always come through for OLLI, and we’re counting on you again as we get closer to our fiscal year end in August.  We still need approximately 6k in donations with at least 40 members donating. The Osher Foundation wants to see at least 10% of our membership supportive and invested in our OLLI program. You've helped us meet our member numbers for 2023, we just need to hit this last goal. We can always count on you.  Donate here
OLLI Special Interest Groups
Are you interested in finding out more information or receiving emails when our groups are meeting?  Fill out this online form to be added to the OLLI Member SIG Groups. A current OLLI Membership is required.

We have someone interested in coordinating a new Pickleball and Golfing Group. As well as a dinner out each month.
