June Events Scheduled at Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site


BISMARCK, N.D. – The Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site is offering free weekly activities in June to promote learning and fun for adults and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
June 10, World Wide Knit in Public Day, 12-4 p.m. Knitters, crocheters, spinners, and other fiber artists are welcome to enjoy an outdoor day of socializing and crafting. Meet on the east lawn and bring your own lawn chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the mansion.

June 13, Flag Day, 2-4 p.m. Learn about the North Dakota flag and create your own flag. Individuals, as well as school and summer groups, are welcome. Cookies and lemonade will be served.
 
June 18, Father’s Day Event, 1-3 p.m. Celebrate that special person in your life by working together on a fun activity. Cookies and lemonade will be served.
 
June 27, Dinosaur Day, 2-4 p.m. Participate in a variety of dinosaur-related activities for all ages. School and summer groups are encouraged to attend. Cookies and lemonade will be served.
 
The Former Governors’ Mansion, 320 East Ave. B, Bismarck, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Admission is free. The mansion is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 12-4 p.m. Find additional upcoming programs at history.nd.gov/events.
