This a kind reminder that two critical deadlines are approaching!
  • For all working on SST as data producers or users: The deadline for the Call for Abstracts for the International SST Users' Symposium & Science Team Meeting is 19 June 2023. 
  • For early-career researchers/scientists: The deadline for the applications for the GHRSST Mentorship program, GHRSST Ambassador Network is 30 June 2023

Submit your abstract by 19 June 2023, so you don't miss your chance to present at the Symposium!

Call for Abstracts 
We welcome abstracts within the following science sessions: 
  • Science Session S1 -  Science applications for Operational users of SST in India
  • Science Session S2 - Processing and product generation
  • Science Session S3 - Calibration, Validation and Product Assessment
  • Science Session S4 - Retrieval Algorithms
  • Science Session S5 - Novel Computing and Products
  • Science Session S6 - High-resolution future satellite mission

Aim of the Symposium

The primary objective of this symposium is to foster discussion and collaboration among experts in the field and promote the utilization of satellite sea-surface temperature (SST) data products for oceanographic research and applications.

Target audience

Researchers, scientists, students, and practitioners working with satellite sea-surface temperature, SST users, and SST producers.

We welcome in particular SST users from India to join the symposium!
And early-career researchers are most welcome!

Six science sessions with exciting talks, posters and panel discussions are waiting for you on Science applications for Operational users of SST in India, Processing and product generation, Calibration, Validation and Product Assessment, Retrieval Algorithms, Novel Computing and Products, High-resolution future satellite mission.

Organisation

GHRSST project office and ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO will be hosting the in-person part of the event in Ahmedabad, India. The online part of the event will be run on Zoom and hosted by the Danish Meteorological Institute with the support of EUMETSAT.

📣 Attention early-career researchers!

GHRSST is thrilled to present the GHRSST Ambassadors' Network, a 12-month mentorship program that will enhance your expertise in satellite-derived sea-surface temperature (SST), using GHRSST formatted products, and scientific writing and publishing. 

As a mentee, you have the chance to collaborate with esteemed GHRSST experts, attend GHRSST meetings and events, share your findings, and gain invaluable professional development.
