Praise
Psalm 145:14-19 The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.

Welcome and Announcements

Introit - "All I Need"
Don't need a thing, my good Shepherd brings me all. You are all I need,
You let me catch my breath. Even in the valley of death, You are all I need.

All I need to be complete is your love. Your blood that covers me.

You lift up my head, You provide the wine and bread. You, You are all I need.
There's no need to fear, even with my enemies here, You are all I need

Goodness and mercy are following me. You're all that I need, You make a home for me.
Where pastures are green as far as I see, You are all I need.

CCLI Song # 5853175 | David Heller | JJ Heller | CCLI License # 2640266

‡The Call to Worship — (From Amos 1, Psalm 79, and Psalm 100)
Pastor:  The Lord roars from Zion and utters his voice from Jerusalem.
People: Let the groans of the prisoners come before you; according to your great power, preserve those doomed to die!

Pastor: Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
People: Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker!

Pastor:  We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
People: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!

Pastor and People:  Give thanks to Him; for the Lord is good and his steadfast love endures forever!

‡The Hymn No. 53 - “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to his temple draw near, join me in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e'er have been granted in what he ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee!
Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee;
Ponder anew what the Almighty will do, if with his love he befriend thee!

Praise to the Lord, who with marvelous wisdom hath made thee,
decked thee with health, and with loving hand guided and stayed thee.
How oft in grief hath not he brought thee relief, spreading his wings to o'er shade thee!

Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him!
Let the amen sound from his people again; gladly fore'er we adore him.

‡The Prayer of Invocation

The Old Testament Reading
Leviticus 24:17-23 --- Roger Day
17 “Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death. 18 Whoever takes an animal's life shall make it good, life for life. 19 If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him, 20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him. 21 Whoever kills an animal shall make it good, and whoever kills a person shall be put to death. 22 You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am the Lord your God.” 23 So Moses spoke to the people of Israel, and they brought out of the camp the one who had cursed and stoned him with stones. Thus the people of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.

‡The Hymn – “All the Poor and Powerless”
All the poor and powerless, and all the lost and lonely,
All the thieves will come confess and know that You are holy,
And know that You are holy.

And all will sing out, Hallelujah!
And we will cry out, Hallelujah!

All the hearts who are content, and all who feel unworthy,
And all who hurt with nothing left will know that You are holy.

And all will sing out Hallelujah!
And we will cry out, Hallelujah!
(sing twice)

Shout it.  Go on scream it from the mountains,
Go on and tell it to the masses that He is God. (sing twice)

We will sing out, Hallelujah!
And we will cry out Hallelujah!
We will sing out, Hallelujah God!

And all will sing out Hallelujah!
And we will cry out, Hallelujah! (sing twice)

The New Testament Reading and Congregational Prayer
Colossians 3:12-17 --- Lee Coleman
12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Confession of Sin
Merciful Father, we have strayed from your ways like lost sheep.  We have followed too much the schemes and desires of our own hearts, and have broken your holy laws.  We have left undone what we ought to have done, and we have done what we ought not to have done.  We thank you that you never allow us comfort when we are not walking with you.  When we refuse to confess our sins you give us an inward ache.  Help us to see the misery of unconfessed sin as a grace; it is a sign of being your child.  Lord, lead us to repentance and may we receive your mercy and forgiveness in Christ.

The Assurance of Pardon:  1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Offertory Prayer

‡The Hymn No.  465 – “Marvelous Grace of Our Loving Lord”
Marvelous Grace of our loving Lord, grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt,
Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured, there where the blood of the Lamb was split.

Refrain
Grace, grace God’s grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sin.

Sin and despair like the sea waves cold, threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold, points to the Refuge, the mighty Cross. (Refrain)

Dark is the stain that we cannot hide, what can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide; whiter than snow you may be today. (Refrain)

Reading of the Holy Scripture: Luke 17:1-10
And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.“Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? 10 So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’”

The Sermon – “Luke #69: Faith and Forgiveness” - Ian Kayser

The Sacrament of The Lord’s Supper

‡The Hymn – “He will Hold Me Fast”
When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold through life's fearful path;
For my love is often cold; He must hold me fast.

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.

Those He saves are His delight, Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in his holy sight, He will hold me fast.
He'll not let my soul be lost; His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost, He will hold me fast.

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.

For my life He bled and died, Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied; He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life, He will hold me fast
‘Till our faith is turned to sight, When He comes at last!

He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast;
For my Saviour loves me so, He will hold me fast.
