2nd ANNUAL GMSA
SAFETY OFFICER
TRAINING

MANDATORY TRAINING IF YOU SO AT TAC-PISTOL, 2-GUN OR 3-GUN

Over the years, we have received many requests to offer Safety Officer training for the volunteers who want to help us run the monthly matches (volunteer SO's).  Additionally, those who act as SO’s during our matches shoot for free (no match free) so there is an incentive for those who can and will help out with a match.

We are excited to once again offer training for those interested.
Please note that the training will be offered free of charge to a limited number of people, with the understanding that - if you attend this training, you will
help us out AND act as a Safety Officer/Range Officer at future matches, at GMSA.

IN THE INTERESTS OF SAFETY AND SPORTSMANSHIP, ALL NEW  SAFETY OFFICERS AT GMSA , (TAC-PISTOL, 2-GUN AND 3-GUN ONLY), MUST TAKE THIS CLASS.  If you are an existing SO at any one of these disciplines, you are not required to take this class but it is highly recommended.

This training class will be free and we hope that those who take it will help us SO in future matches.  (Primarily Tac-Pistol, 2 Gun or 3Gun but the skills learned can be applied to almost any shooting sport)

Please Note:  This will be a general instructional class teaching you the basic skills to operate in the capacity as a Safety Officer or a Range Safety Officer during a competitive shooting match.

This will be a basic GMSA Safety Officer Course and it IS NOT an IDPA SO course, it IS NOT an IPSC SO course, it is just a basic, entry-level GMSA Safety Officer course.

DATE: Sunday, June 11th, 2023 at the GMSA clubhouse.
TIME: 9am - 5pm with a short onsite lunch break.
COST: Free to those who will act as SO's at GMSA matches (class is limited to 10 spots)
