Jonah Winn Day
We are grateful that Jacob Frey (Minneapolis Mayor) has submitted a proclamation to declare this Sunday as Jonah Winn Day, to commemorate the birthday and life of Jonah Augustine Winn, who passed away unexpectedly this April.

If you're interested, the Mayor's Proclamation can be viewed at the Connection Corner this Sunday. Additionally, we invite you to join the Winn family for an informal get-together at their place following the services on June 11th. Contact
Michele Steinke at msteinke@meetinghouse.church for more details.

Father's Day Sunday
Celebrate Father's Day after the services on June 18th with a courtyard gathering with bagels, root beer floats, and all kinds of games: board games, yard games, and a special pre-release party for Paul Rudoi’s game “Duck Duck Mousse.
Why is there a random boat graphic in your e-news this week?

Turns out it's not random at all. Stay tuned this Sunday as Meetinghouse members share about something exciting they've been organizing behind the scenes. (Trust us, it'll make more sense then.)
Meetinghouse Summer
We've got all kinds of stuff on tap for this summer — from informal get-togethers for varying ages & stages to a new Jesus & Justice series, there's something for everybody.

Jesus & Justice
Monday, June 26th from 6:30 - 8:00pm | Great Hall + YouTube

Have we lost sight of the true gospel and replaced it with an idol of rugged masculinity and Christian Nationalism?

Join us for our first Jesus & Justice gathering, a Western-themed gathering grounded in themes from Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation, Dr. Kristin Kobes Du Mez's sweeping and incisive history and analysis of the last seventy-fire years of white evangelicalism in the United States.

We'll gather together for Western-themed appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages for the first part, then hear an executive summary of the book from Rev. Dr. Sara Wilhelm Garbers (Senior Associate Minister) before breaking off into table groups to discuss the book's themes. No need to read the book beforehand.

RSVP preferred to Michele Steinke at msteinke@meetinghouse.church so we can plan for food.

Meetinghouse Summer Camps

The sun's high in the sky, the trees are fully leafed, and that means summer camps are right around the corner! Here are two we're excited to highlight this week:
Camp Koronis: August 3-6. Our high schoolers are headed to Camp Koronis! Join other high schoolers for a life-giving long weekend of classic camp activities and service projects around the area.

Trailblazers Camp: We’re inviting all kids entering 4-6th grade for a 6-day summer camp at Covenant Pines with daily Chapel, songs, skits, and physical activities.

Our Confirmation students depart for a mission trip to Kansas City this Sunday. Will you join us in prayer on their behalf for safe travels, good time spent in community, and that our students might be a supportive presence as they partner with Project C.U.R.E., A Turning Point, and Eileeen's Place?
Let's journey together this week.
Look below for what we're up to this week. Events with Meeting ID listed have a virtual alternative available via Zoom.
