Democracy and the Supreme Court:  What are the cases to watch?
Civics Awareness Series sponsored by Wheaton Public Library and the League of Women Voters

June 7, 2022Roselle, IL—The Wheaton Public Library in partnership with the Leagues of Women Voters of Wheaton Central Kane County, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, and Roselle-Bloomingdale invite the public to their next Civic Awareness Series program on Thursday, June 15 from 7 - 8:30 pm. 

From overturning Roe v Wade, which ended the constitutional right to abortion, to Sackett v EPA, which gutted the Clean Water Act of 1972, recent Supreme Court rulings are changing national policy precedents. 
 
The Civic Awareness Series will feature Professor Steven Schwinn, who will present the current issues before the Supreme Court and their implications. Schwinn is a Professor of Law at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a frequent commentator on issues related to constitutional law and human rights.
