WHAT'S HAPPENING

Mentorship Program 2023/24: Call for Mentors

Are you interested in becoming a mentor for pre-tenure faculty? We are inviting tenured faculty members to consider becoming mentors for pre-tenure faculty colleagues for the 2023-24 academic year. Mentoring resources and support will be provided.

What is the time commitment? All mentors will be asked to participate in an orientation meeting about mentorship in early Fall 2023. Once matched, mentors and mentees are encouraged to make time to meet once a month for the balance of the 2023-24 year.

The August program also includes a series of guest speakers from across the University and provides professional development on topics such as the first day of class, classroom management, planning and funding a research program, course planning and assessment, and the use of learning technologies at MRU.
