Dear all,
The summer is here, and our annual summer camps kicked off this month in Bhubaneswar! Starting on 12th May, participants from our Community Sports Program and Community Table Tennis program took part in various activities including cricket, football and table tennis. The summer camp was attended by 84 boys and 57 girls from four different schools across Bhubaneswar.
We are excited to announce two new collaborations with our long-time partners - for Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti, we are creating a handbook for practitioners and young people on safe experiences in sport for children and youth, and for Anantapur Sports Academy and Rural Development Trust, we are conducting an evaluation of their new sport for development program. And finally, this month, we also held a training for 59 participants in Japla, Jharkhand, on leveraging sport for soft-skill development, for Sahbagi Shikshan Kendra.
Scroll down for information on all this and more.
Happy reading!

In a new handbook being created for Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti, we outline how sport activities and events can be made safe for children and youth in sport programs. The handbook will guide practitioners and coaches on the best practices to create safe and secure spaces for participants, and help children and youth realize the importance of their safety.
