Give Big CHQ
June 8th
“Give Big CHQ is a 24-hour online fundraising event designed to raise awareness, community engagement, and essential dollars to support local nonprofits. Hosted by the Chautauqua Region and Northern Chautauqua Community Foundations, this extraordinary event inspires people to come together, show pride in their communities and support local causes."
This year, all donations to the library go towards our Summer Reading program!

Patio Construction
The construction on the patio is underway! We anticipate completing this project in just a few weeks, in time for the Block Party. We will dedicate the new patio in memory of Jim Roselle on June 24th at 10:30 am.
The parking lot and front doors are still accessible throughout construction. Again, we want to thank you for your continued patience!
The Library received an NYS Library Construction grant to install a patio, walkway, and community gardens. The Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation and the Lenna Foundation provided matching funds for the project, and a Chautauqua Region Community Foundation grant supported the community gardens.

Community Block Party

Join us for storytimes, local food vendors, Summer Reading sign-ups, outdoor games, crafts, and activities, and learn about local community organizations - over 30 non-profits will be at the library for this event.

Summer Reading
June 24th - August 19th
Participate in Summer Reading for all ages! Teens and adults can read and attend programs to complete bingo sheets and earn prizes. Kids can complete reading & activity logs for prizes and participate in "Read for Beads."
Free Summer Lunches with the YMCA
will start Monday, June 26, from 11:30-1:00 and run through September 1.
